North Central has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Chesterfield Golden Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Golden Rams are ranked 101st).
Last Friday, North Central was beaten by the Volunteers 88-27. North Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.
Meanwhile, Chesterfield waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Cheraw by a score of 52-41.
Kierra Diggs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 24 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Eubanks, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
North Central's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Chesterfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
North Central took a serious blow against the Golden Rams when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-14. Can North Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
