Priory's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Teddy Xanthopoulos, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 24 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, and Mate Palotai, who went 9 for 10 en route to 18 points and eight rebounds. Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Sacred Heart Prep on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Pinewood out of the water with an 84-36 final score. The game marked the Gators' most dominant victory of the season.
Sacred Heart Prep's win came from a few key players Priory will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alberto De Bernardis, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 20 points. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Norris, who went 9 for 14 en route to 20 points.
Priory's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Priory and Sacred Heart Prep are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Priory hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 71.3 points per game. However, it's not like Sacred Heart Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 55.7 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Priory was taken down by Sacred Heart Prep 74-46 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Priory was down 37-17.
