The Zionsville Eagles will be playing at home against the Brownsburg Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Zionsville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
Last Friday, Zionsville faced Hamilton Southeastern in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Zionsville took a 76-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hamilton Southeastern. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (71), Zionsville still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Allie Caldwell, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Emma Haan was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Brownsburg entered their tilt with Terre Haute North Vigo with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Brownsburg blew past Terre Haute North Vigo 58-19 at home. That 39 points margin sets a new team best for Brownsburg this season.
Zionsville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Brownsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.
Zionsville beat Brownsburg 50-41 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Does Zionsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brownsburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
