The NOVA Academy Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. NOVA Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Back in December of 2023, NOVA Academy was beaten by Century 66-26.
Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley Christian came up short against Fairmont Prep on Tuesday and fell 49-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Capistrano Valley Christian has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cetin Seles, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Ahern, who scored 13 points.
NOVA Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
