On Friday, Atlas HomeSchool R took a serious blow against Community Christian, falling 72-16. Atlas HomeSchool R was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.
Jonathan Blackburn was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists for Community Christian. Blackburn set a new season high mark in blocks with five. Another player making a difference was David Blackburn, who scored 18 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Atlas HomeSchool R and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Community Christian, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Atlas HomeSchool R will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tournament Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Community Christian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Victory Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
