Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Saba). They blew past the St. John XXIII Lions, posting a 56-7 win.

Luke Tharp continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 296 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles.

San Saba's run defense was locked in: St. John XXIII could only muster three yards per carry. The team can thank Danny English for the heroic effort on defense: he. San Saba didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 16.

San Saba's defense also made the game a nightmare for Whitt Broussard, racking up nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Clayton Meador and English, who racked up four sacks between them.

The victory got San Saba back to even at 2-2. As for St. John XXIII, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
