For Chapel Hill, this counts as revenge for the 69-50 defeat Jordan walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
David Mirikwe was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Herring, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Jordan still got an impressive performance from Zion Wells, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Hill, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Chapel Hill's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Chapel Hill will head out on the road to face off against Riverside-Durham at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside-Durham is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Jordan, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against East Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. East Chapel Hill is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
