This season hasn't been kind to the Oakdale Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a 105-92 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jellico on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (59), Oakdale still had to take the loss.
Carson Bolton was his usual excellent self, scoring 44 points along with 6 steals for Jellico. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bolton has scored at least 25% of Jellico's points. Trey Vann was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with 6 rebounds.
Oakdale bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Jellico, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakdale will face off against Wartburg Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jellico will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Cosby at 8:00 p.m. on November 30th.
