After a string of three wins, St. Croix Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Hudson Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While St. Croix Central ultimately came up short, they really made Hudson work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 24-26, 25-22.

St. Croix Central now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Hudson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, St. Croix Central will square off against St. Croix Falls at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hudson, they will face off against Menomonie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
