Bradford is on a eight-game streak of home wins, while Baker County is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bradford Tornadoes will take on the Baker County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bradford walked away with it. They blew past Eastside 28-7. Considering Bradford has won nine matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Baker County didn't have too much trouble with Yulee on the road on Friday as they won 32-14.
Baker County can attribute much of their success to Benny Lewis, who rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Seth Chestnut made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Baker County's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Case Foster and his two sacks.
Bradford's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Baker County, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Bradford beat Baker County 12-0 in their previous matchup back in August. Will Bradford repeat their success, or does Baker County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
