Jon Pileggi and Josh Adams provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Central Bucks West. The connection went for 88 yards, the longest such play in Suburban One - Continental this season.
Pennridge extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hatboro-Horsham, 54-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Rams.
Central Bucks South's dynamic duo of Pileggi and Adams proved tough for the Bucks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pileggi threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns and Adams had 110 yards receiving. Steve Veal helped Central Bucks South's passing attack out by catching five balls for 78 yards.
Mike Class was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 197 yards on 15 carries as Pennridge beat Central Bucks West. Kyle Bigam also contributed to the rushing game with 64 yards on the ground.
Central Bucks South's Pileggi and Veal have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Suburban One - Continental in both passing and receiving yards. Pileggi has thrown for 1934 yards this season, while Veal has 39 catches for 579 yards. Class from Randy Cuthbert's team leads the league in rushing with 1909 yards.
Brian Hensel's team's Sherrod Higginbotham needs only 43 yards against Archbishop Ryan next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Higginbotham has rushed for 957 yards on 130 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Quakertown takes on Central Bucks East. At the moment, the Panthers are in seventh, while the Patriots are in sixth.
The Rams took down the Hatters 54-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Class in the win.
