Basketball Recap: Springdale Prep's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Springdale Prep suffered their closest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Friendship Tech Prep Academy Titans by a score of 69-66. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Springdale Prep lost, don't look at Kisean Robinson. Despite the final result, he went 11 for 22 on his way to 29 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Robinson's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bolis Thet, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friendship Tech Prep Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel Bumpass, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Bumpass a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Malik Shackleford, who posted 16 points and four steals.

With the loss, Springdale Prep broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-1. As for Friendship Tech Prep Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
