Pensacola Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pine Forest, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 17-6 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Brynlie McLaughlin was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Madison Pope was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Pensacola Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine Forest only posted an OBP of .385.

The win snapped Pensacola Catholic's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-11 record. As for Pine Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Pensacola Catholic will welcome L.E.A.D. Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pine Forest, they will head out to challenge Booker T. Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
