Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Chaparral Cowboys proved on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 win over Eldorado. That's another feather in the cap for Chaparral, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chaparral's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Qualib Ghallab, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Ghallab is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Bard, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Eldorado lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Robert "RJ" Waddell, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Waddell has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 18 times he's played. Kamarion Durant was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Chaparral's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-17. As for Eldorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
Chaparral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eldorado also has no future games currently scheduled.
