The Trinity Christian Lions stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 69-24 win over Riverdale. Given Trinity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Riverdale is ranked 487th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Gabbie Grooms, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Bennett, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Trinity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Riverdale, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
Trinity Christian and Fayette County will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Fayette County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 13 games. Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
