Laredo LBJ hadn't done well against Del Rio recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went the Laredo LBJ Wolves' way against the Del Rio Rams as the Laredo LBJ Wolves made off with a 12-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Laredo LBJ let Gael Montes and Leonardo Alvarez run wild. Montes scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Alvarez scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Montes a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Jose Gongora, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Laredo LBJ has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Del Rio is on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laredo LBJ will take on Medina Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
