Not much got past Alexa Anderson, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Steele off the board.

Meanwhile, Midview fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Avon on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 13-10 to the Eagles. The Middies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Dezirae Thomas was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with three runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Keenan, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Midview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Chardon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Midview, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Chardon's sizable advantage in that area, the Middies will need to find a way to close that gap.
