The biggest upset of the week belonged to Terrell County, who took down 296th ranked Terrell County, 28-8.
Mitchell County moved up to 270 from 319 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A Region 1. The Eagles were able to make the jump by besting the Greenwave 28-8.
Stewart County's dynamic duo of Douglas Drake and Patrick McCarthy proved tough for Seminole County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Drake threw for 75 yards and one touchdown and McCarthy had 65 yards receiving. Ziquon Jones helped Stewart County's passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.
Jamal Martin was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 98 yards as the Indians fell to the Indians. Teammate Javonte Smith added to the ground attack by rushing for 92 yards.
Jamonta McCoy made the biggest impact on defense this week as Stewart County lost to Seminole County. The 5-foot-7 freshman recorded two fumbles.
Terrell County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Greenwave feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jerkerious Scott has thrown for 265 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Osmond Lemons has 11 catches for 129 yards. Scott also leads the league in rushing with 560 yards.
Two of the top units in A Region 1 will face off this week when Terrell County takes on Miller County. The Greenwave's offense has scored 172 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Pirates have allowed only 94 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Miller County takes on Terrell County. At the moment, the Pirates are in first, while the Greenwave are in fourth.
The Indians were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, Seminole County defeated the Knights 48-18.
