Legacy Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Laton Mustangs. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Yann Jimenez had an outrageously good game for Laton as he went 13 for 28 on his way to 32 points along with eight steals and five boards. The dominant performance gave Jimenez a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaythan Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists.

Legacy Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Laton, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.

Legacy Christian Academy has already played their next match, a 40-34 loss against Riverdale Christian on the 17th. As for Laton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-26 defeat against Maricopa on the 15th.
