East Henderson will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Smoky Mountain, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. East Henderson came out on top against Smoky Mountain by a score of 57-47 on Friday.
East Henderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mamie Hill, who went 9-for-15 en route to 19 points along with six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Henderson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.
Meanwhile, Pisgah entered their tilt with North Henderson on Tuesday with 13 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 14. They breezed past the Knights to the tune of 75-23. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 21 points or more this season.
East Henderson better keep an eye on Chandler Lowery. She was instrumental in Pisgah's win, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Lowery has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Bailey Conner was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.
Pisgah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 18 consecutive games.
Pisgah's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2. As for East Henderson, their record now sits at 10-15.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: East Henderson has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Pisgah struggles in that department as they've been averaging 38.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
