After losing to the Colonie Central Raiders the last time they met, the Columbia Blue Devils decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Columbia took down Colonie Central 61-47 on Friday.
Alivia Landy was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Columbia's points. Another player making a difference was Sarah Rainville, who scored 14 points.
The victory got Columbia back to even at 2-2. As for Colonie Central, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia will take on Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colonie Central, they will be playing at home against Saratoga Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
