Great Crossing won against the Franklin County Flyers on Saturday with 82 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Great Crossing simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Franklin County 82-46 at home. The victory was just business as usual for Great Crossing, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Great Crossing was led to victory by Vince Dawson and Malachi Moreno. Dawson scored 18 points along with five assists, while Moreno scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks. The match was Moreno's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Junius Burrell, who scored nine points.
Great Crossing pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Great Crossing will face off against Frederick Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Frederick Douglass will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Great Crossing is ranked second). As for Franklin County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodford County on Friday. Woodford County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
