The Walled Lake Central Vikings had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.9 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 70-28 victory over Kettering at home. Walled Lake Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.
Kettering lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hunter Jager, who scored six points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Jager grabbed two or more steals. Nathan Bisnett was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Walled Lake Central pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kettering, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Walled Lake Central will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Vikings are ranked 42nd). As for Kettering, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lions at 7:00 p.m.
