Lia Doster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Carlie Martin was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Emma O'Shea, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Tiverton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Rogers faced Exeter-West Greenwich in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Scarlet Knights. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Scarlet Knights: they've now won seven in a row.
Rogers got a big performance out of Tess Margolis, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Maeve Higgins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tiverton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .579. However, it's not like Rogers struggles in that department as they've averaged .554. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Tiverton's way against Rogers in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Tiverton made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
