The St. John Bosco Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were the victim of a tough 64-42 loss at the hands of Highland. St. John Bosco Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-23.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Goeckner, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Goeckner's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Watson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
St. John Bosco Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Highland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
St. John Bosco Academy will head out on the road to face off against Deary at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Kootenai at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th.
