Basketball Recap: Hubbertville's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hubbertville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Lamar County Bulldogs as they made off with a 77-56 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hubbertville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tracee Cowan, who went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points. Another player making a difference was Kane Rushing, who went 9 for 15 en route to 21 points.

Hubbertville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.8 points. As for Lamar County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hubbertville Lions challenge the Berry Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lamar County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Lamar at 7:00 p.m.
