Hawkinsville is 1-8 against Dooly County since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hawkinsville Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dooly County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Hawkinsville took a serious blow against Wilcox County, falling 34-7.
Even if they lost, Hawkinsville's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Mason Coley and Darius Anderson who racked up four sacks between them.
Dooly County fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Telfair County with a 21-16 victory on Friday.
Hawkinsville's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Dooly County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
