The Collegiate Spartans will head out to challenge the Mulvane Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Collegiate is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Collegiate's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They didn't even let Rose Hill on the board, marking the Spartans' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Carson Malaise made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Carter Drumright and Max Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Drumright went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Williams went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gavin Klausmeyer, who earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
Collegiate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Mulvane waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Crusaders. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Grey Sanders tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over 5.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Braxton Madrigal was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Hackleman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Collegiate's record now sits at 11-7-1. As for Mulvane, their record is now 13-4-2.
Collegiate might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Mulvane when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
