The Fishers Christian Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 83-32 loss at the hands of Heartland Christian. Fishers Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-16.
Heartland Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sawyer Koffer led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Koffer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Landon Clemens, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Fishers Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Heartland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tabernacle Christian the next time they take the court. Heartland Christian will head out to face Tabernacle Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fishers Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on February 12th.
