Prairie is 10-0 against Battle Ground since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Prairie Falcons will get right back to it and host the Battle Ground Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Prairie suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 62-38 walloping at the hands of Mountain View.
Meanwhile, Battle Ground's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-20 loss at the hands of Kelso. While losing is never fun, Battle Ground can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Kelso is ranked 112th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Skylar Fridriksson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Battle Ground struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Battle Ground, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Prairie against Battle Ground in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-33 victory. With Prairie ahead 37-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
