The Mater Dei Knights's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 46-37 win over Nashville. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mater Dei also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Mater Dei's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drake Wagner, who scored 18 points. Garrick Winkeler was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Mater Dei's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. As for Nashville, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9.
Mater Dei's road trip will continue as they head out to face KIPP at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. KIPP has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Nashville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Anna-Jonesboro at 7:45 p.m. on January 26th.
