Volleyball Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Comes Up Short

Calvary Chapel Academy suffered their biggest loss since September 15th on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the West Shore Wildcats.

Calvary Chapel Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Shore work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 27-25, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Calvary Chapel Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Sedaros had 20 assists and three digs. Sedaros has been hot, having posted 15 or more assists the last eight times she's played.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Shore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alice Lin, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Lin has posted since back in September.

Calvary Chapel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for West Shore, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.

Calvary Chapel Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Odyssey Charter School on the 7th. As for West Shore, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Heritage on the 7th.
