Century gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 win over the Nampa Bulldogs. For the Diamondbacks, this counts as revenge for the 42-7 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.
Century was led to victory by Justus Mangum and Tito Villano. Mangum rushed for 197 yards and two scores on only ten carries, while Villano rushed for 90 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Villano a new career-high.

Nampa's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryker Good, who rushed for 141 yards and one touchdown. Dominick Almaraz was another key player, throwing for 267 yards and three TDs while completing 76% of his passes.
Looking ahead, Century will head out on the road to face off against Burley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nampa, they will be playing at home against Middleton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
