After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Escondido Charter, St. Joseph Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Coastal Academy Stingrays. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Stingrays recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Eva Ambuul paced St. Joseph Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Ambuul got some help from Adley Fontaine and her six assists. Milena Williams and Lauren Elsner kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

St. Joseph Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Coastal Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.

St. Joseph Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Madison on the 4th. As for Coastal Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Monte Vista on the 4th.
