Kingsway is 0-3 against Cherokee since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Dragons are taking a road trip to take on the Chiefs. Kingsway will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Kingsway beat Timber Creek Regional 5-1.

Nate Ford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Kingsway saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Gollon, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Kyle Shields was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Cherokee rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Rebels 10-0. Considering the Chiefs have won 13 games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Brett Gable, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Howell off the board.
At the plate, Cherokee got a massive performance out of Alex Odud, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Odud has posted since May 3rd. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Cherokee lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Kingsway pushed their record up to 21-6-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Cherokee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-3.
Kingsway came up short against Cherokee in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, falling 7-2. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
