The Plainfield Central Wildcats will head out to  challenge the Prospect Knights  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Plainfield Central is coming into the  game hot, having won their last five games.

Meanwhile, Prospect entered their  contest against Barrington  on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Knights took  a  10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fillies/Broncos. The  loss was just more heartbreak for the Knights who fell  3-1 when the teams previously met back in April of 2024.
  John Aquino and  Jack Davis did some serious damage despite the final result:  Aquino  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run, while  Davis  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Louie Caldrone was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs.
 Plainfield Central pushed their record up to 23-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Prospect, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9-1.
