Kodiak has been on the road for four straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Homer Mariners at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Kodiak's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last six matches.
 Kodiak stacked  an  11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Palmer with a sharp  18-2 victory.
  Addalina Haagensen was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Kate Holland, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Homer faced Redington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Everything went Homer's way against Redington as Homer made off with  a  22-5 win. The  victory was nothing new for Homer as they're now sitting on three straight.
  Emily Owens was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with eight  RBI, three  runs,  and a  stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Julie Guess, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Kodiak has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record  this season. As for Homer, they pushed their record up to 12-16-3 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Kodiak skirted past Homer  14-12 when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Does  Kodiak have another victory up their sleeve, or will Homer turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
