The West Adams Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took down Maywood CES 66-48. The victory was nothing new for West Adams as they're now sitting on three straight.
Cesar Santiago was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with five steals. The contest was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Juan Sanchez was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
West Adams' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Maywood CES, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Adams will take on Manual Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manual Arts is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. Maywood CES and Marquez will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Marquez presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Maywood CES in California (Marquez is ranked 388th, while Maywood CES is ranked 1367th).
