Basketball Recap: Versailles Find Success

Versailles won the last time they faced Tipton, and Reese Murdock did his part to make sure it happened again. The Versailles Tigers came out on top against the Tipton Cardinals by a score of 52-42 on Thursday thanks in part to Murdock, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. His morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucas Cashman, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Cashman has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was William Cashman, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Versailles' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Tipton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Versailles didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-41 defeat against Marshall on the 6th. As for Tipton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-42 loss against New Bloomfield on the 6th.
