Cashmere has gone a perfect 5-0 against Cle Elum-Roslyn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. McDevitt wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mac Carlson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was Carlson's first of the season. Jake Peterson was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Cle Elum-Roslyn came up short against Overlake on Saturday and fell 7-3.
Cle Elum-Roslyn's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Cashmere, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cashmere has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cle Elum-Roslyn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
