Westmont Hilltop scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a blow against the Penn Cambria Panthers, falling 56-14. The Hilltoppers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-7.

Westmont Hilltop's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Derek Gartner, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and Noah Subich, who threw for 51 yards and one touchdown. Gartner showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 51 yards.

Westmont Hilltop's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Penn Cambria, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westmont Hilltop will welcome Bishop McCort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hilltoppers will need to watch out since the Crushers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for Penn Cambria, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chestnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 13.3, the Lions 14.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
