Alvin has gone 8-1 against Pasadena Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Alvin Yellowjackets will take on the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Alvin had to suffer through a 62-32 loss at the hands of Dobie. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cheyenne Lang, who posted 16 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Hayden Holloway, who had eight points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pasadena Memorial). They secured a 50-44 W over Sam Rayburn on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mavericks as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Pasadena Memorial's win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Alvin, their loss dropped their record down to 7-19.

Alvin beat Pasadena Memorial 40-33 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alvin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
