The Waldron Mohawks will take on the Milan Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Milan took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Waldron, who comes in off a win.
Waldron barely beat Edinburgh the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mohawks blew past the Lancers 13-1 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Mohawks in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won six in a row.

Charlie Fischer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Waldron let Jackson Kuhn and Troy Atwood run wild. Kuhn went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Atwood got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Kuhn has posted since back in April. J.D. Smith was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Waldron always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Milan came up short against Southwestern on Monday and fell 9-4.
Noah Morgan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Milan is 3-1 when Morgan posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Grant Langferman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Waldron pushed their record up to 8-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Milan, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Waldron has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Milan struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
