New Franklin has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Fayette Falcons at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. New Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Fayette likes a good challenge.
Even though Harrisburg scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, New Franklin still came out on top. New Franklin walked away with a 72-64 win over Harrisburg. Given New Franklin's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Harrisburg is ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Fayette was beaten by Glasgow 101-35 on Thursday. Fayette was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-24.
Despite the loss, Fayette got a solid performance out of Kaleb Friebe, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 4-1.
Everything came up roses for New Franklin against Fayette when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 79-49 win. Does New Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fayette turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
