Josh Shewmaker ran for three touchdowns and
Brandon Cassity added two as well as
Pleasant Hill (Mo.) defeated Odessa (Mo.) 48-0 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Shewmaker touchdown run in the first quarter, the Roosters were up 27-0 at the half.
Pleasant Hill grew its lead to 48 points entering the fourth quarter. PH scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Cassity.
The Roosters put up 27 points in the first quarter en route to the win. Pleasant Hill scored on four rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including three by Shewmaker.
PH had given up an average of 17.2 points prior to the contest.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 28-7 win for the Roosters.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Bulldogs.
Odessa (2-5) will play a Missouri River Valley - West game against Harrisonville next week, while Pleasant Hill (7-0) will take on Excelsior Springs also in a Missouri River Valley - West game.
