They lost to Montgomery Academy at home by a decisive 64-46 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Alabama Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Montgomery Academy is ranked 116th).
Seth Edwards was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Montgomery Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Skyler Stovall, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Alabama Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Montgomery Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alabama Christian Academy will take on Saint James at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saint James comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Montgomery Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Presbyterian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
