Coventry Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 65-64 photo finish over Conestoga Christian. The win was just what Coventry Christian needed coming off of a 61-41 loss in their prior contest.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paul Hurst, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Josh Boutaugh, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Coventry Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season. As for Conestoga Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Coventry Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Shore Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Conestoga Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Linville Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Linville Hill has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 322 points over their last four contests.
