While Mascenic Regional didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles with a sharp 7-1 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Mascenic Regional pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
