Vicksburg had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-15  on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Plainwell Trojans with a sharp  13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine contests by nine  runs or more  so far this season.
Vicksburg let  Grace Zimmerman and  Kayla Chisholm run wild. Zimmerman  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI, while  Chisholm  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  hits gave  Zimmerman a new career-high.  Makenzie Rose was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Vicksburg  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plainwell only posted  an  OBP of  .286.
As for Plainwell, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 12 games. That's still a better percentage than their 7-23 record  this season. Those  losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games.
 On Plainwell's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Heidi Ragainis, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  RBI.
Vicksburg will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
