For the first time this season, Ann Sobrato will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Westmont Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Ann Sobrato is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Tuesday, Ann Sobrato beat Palma 13-8.

02/28/25 @ San Mateo | 3 |

Ann Sobrato got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Amato, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Amato is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Nava, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Ann Sobrato was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Westmont was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Live Oak, sneaking past 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four contests in a row.
Regan Steele spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Quinn Corbett, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
Ann Sobrato's record now sits at 4-0. As for Westmont, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Ann Sobrato's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. Ann Sobrato has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Westmont, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Ann Sobrato continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Ann Sobrato's way against Westmont in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Ann Sobrato made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ann Sobrato since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
